Running shoes

After the clear verdict of the doctor regarding my running shoes, I followed her advice to buy a new pair.

Running Mate was recommended and is a specialised shop for everything that has to do with running in Kampenhout. The staff speaks English and gives very competent advice on what type of shoe is the right one for you after having you run on a treadmill.

The sales person brought four models he suggested to pick from: one from Nike (blue), two from Asics (red and gold) and one from Brooks (blue).

Lamia: Take the red one!

Yeah, right. As if I just picked them by color. Pffff!

So I tried one after the other on the treadmill, and gee: quite stunning how different they feel. The Nike shoes were very nice and soft, but also very obviously didn't give the right stability. The golden Asics were okay, but missed out to provide good side stability, too, while the red Asics were actually very good. But so were the blue Brooks.

Well, and in the end...

... I picked the red ones, indeed.
They were just more comfortable than the Brooks. And Lamia had been right once again... (darn it!).
