Though it is always good to come home, I will miss Samira, Joseph, Rana and Ramzi. Those guys have been so wonderfully welcome and kind to us that it is hard to leave them behind.
In the morning we packed the two carpets we are taking home, one for Lamia's parents and one for us.

You can see ours, a present from Lamia's granny, on the photo above.

Saying good-bye is always hard, especially when you know that it will be a while until you see each other again. The last time Lamia has been to Lebanon is ten years ago, and we had to promise to come back sooner than that.

The farewells were already tearful in Rayak and Joseph, who at first had not planned to join us at the airport decided differently after the first hugs. At the airport there were more of the tears and though I sort of always expect it (it's a speciality of Lamia's family and I complain if Lamia does not shed a fair share of tears when we part on an airport), this time even I had a lump in my throat...
Thanks so much for a great stay in Lebanon!
