Inspection Suspense

In the morning I had an appointment at a Mercedes garage for an inspection.
In the last weeks I have been constantly annoyed by the steady message on the dashboard, saying

You're 1300 km over your
inspection interval.

And when another message popped up during my ride to Germany yesterday night...

Check oil level with next
refueling.

... I had felt relieved that I finally took care of this.

It was my first visit at this garage and the impression I got was excellent.
The service person took half an hour to talk me through the required steps.

Leo: I must say I appreciate the
time you are taking to talk this.
Service person: We always do this to
make sure customers understand what
they are paying all that money for.

Hum.
He was pointing out several maintenance works that are supposed to do be done at the current age of my car and although moneywise this really scared the heck out of me, I opted to go for them.

Even more concerning, however, was the air conditioning which does not work properly now for a very long time which is most likely due to a leakage in the system.

Golly!
This is supposed to be the 'small' inspection, but it will cost me an arm and a leg...
