German #1: Lady Gaga "Poker Face"

Yep - just as I predicted: Silbermond could not grab on to the pole position for long and has been kicked to 2nd rank by Lady Gaga and her dance track Poker Face.

I don't really know when Lady Gaga first entered the pop business, but I am pretty sure she has been build up by her label to attract Gwen Stefani or Fergie fans. And this is not only based on her body performance but also on her music, which is not really a rip-off of those two, but at least intentionally positioned for people going for similar danceable electronic pop tracks (nothing wrong with that - I am just happy when I can point out such clever observations...).

I don't have time to write too much tonight about the video, but I have to mention the utter Barbie doll artificiality of Lady Gaga who seems to like herself in the role of a vamp climbing out of the pool and sports wigs which seem to belong to a KGB spy from the 70's.

And that blue PJ?
Ah, I don't know! I am grossed out and arisen at the same time...
