Tonight Lamia and I watched The Incredible Hulk.I have seen the first Hulk movie from 2003 on a DVD I bought at Amazon for little money and back then I was positively surprised by it. The actors were quite good: Eric Bana as Bruce Banner, Jennifer Connelly as Betty Ross, Sam Elliot as General Ross and Nick Nolte as villain. On top, the movie was creatively edited and conveyed a comic book feeling - something that I have not seen in any other Marvel or DC Comics adaptation.
The current movie is loosing out on all of this: Edward Norton does a mediocre job as Bruce Banner, Liv Tyler as Betty fends off any thought that she has ever been an at least average actress, William Hurt is a pitiful Ross and Tim Roth remains a faceless and boring villain, which is not even made up for by the special effects.
Yawn.
Booooring!
Gee, I count on the upcoming Batman movie. The 2005 Batman Begins movie and an article I read in the July issue of Wired give hope that this might become a comic adaptation that is worth the money...
